  • Sean Collins | Founder & Head Coach

Sean Collins is the owner & head coach of Sincere Training Systems, an online coaching & mentorship platform that serves competitive lifters & coaches alike. Sean is a USAPL Sr. National Powerlifting Coach, Meet Director, Referee, and Athlete Representative. His aim is to grow the sport of powerlifting by empowering thoughtful, hard-working athletes to excel on the platform, and to develop a community that altruistically supports each other.

Prior to founding Sincere Training Systems, Sean was co-owner of Murder of Crows Barbell Club, the largest powerlifting facility in New York City. He was responsible for coaching a community of 50+ powerlifters at several local & national competitions both in-person & remotely.Sean has been featured as a powerlifting consultant for Muscle & Fitness, Muscle & Fitness Hers, and Men's Journal. Sean is also an active 74kg competitor within the USAPL with a 635KG total. In his free time, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayleigh, and his pets (Demetri the cat, Meatball the Berner, and Jade the GSD), along with being a depressed Knicks fan, a decent call of duty player, and learning about organizational psychology, politics, and history.

  • Jordan Crandall | Assistant Powerlifting Coach

GM, I'm Jordan. I've had the pleasure of working under Sean as an athlete with Sincere Training Systems for just under four years. More recently, I've had an even greater opportunity to work with Sean as his Assistant Coach since May 2021.

I've been involved in the sport of Powerlifting since 2016, competing across all feds (RPS, USPA, USAPL), sticking strictly with USAPL and promoting their growth since 2018. My personal bests are 227.5/160/295 SBD, and I'm looking forward to beating these this year in the coming spring and fall. I would love nothing more than to deadlift over 320kg, as it's a number I've had in my head since injuring my back (L5/S1) in 2015 prior to powerlifting.

Outside of powerlifting coaching, I'm a full time Closing Coordinator for Homestead Funding Corp, based out of Albany, NY. If you ever need a mortgage in addition to powerlifting coaching, I’m your guy!

  • Kevin Tran | Assistant Powerlifting Coach

My goals as a Sincere PL Coach is to give back to the team and community that not only helped shape me into the lifter I am today, but as the person I am as well, while becoming a great coach in the process.

I work well with teen / junior athletes. One of my goals for this upcoming year is to bring a great team of athletes into Collegiate Nationals, and bring home a national medal for the Sincere team as well.

  • Cassy Carlton | Assistant Powerlifting Coach

Over the last seven years, powerlifting has given me the opportunity to compete at the highest level, travel the world, and meet my closest friends. This sport has given me confidence on and off the platform- something I believe everyone should have. I've found a home in this community and hope to share it with new lifters in the future. I'm excited to grow as both an athlete and a coach over the next year, and I'm so incredibly excited to do so under Sincere Training Systems!

  • Johnny getting set up for a sumo deadlift at a USAPL powerlifting competition

Johnny Nguyen | Assistant Powerlifting Coach

I’m a local coach and USAPL lifter from Seattle, WA. I’ve been competing since 2018, and have been coaching for the last three years. During this time, and under the informal mentorship of Sean, I’ve developed my passion in coaching- I’ve had the privilege of coaching a number of talented athletes, and handling at various team-wide meets. Powerlifting is something that’s brought so much life and vibrance into my every day, and I want to reciprocate that feeling by doing my due diligence as a coach, using effective programming and coaching modalities that continue to evolve with time.

I love working with powerlifters of all experience levels, and find a lot of joy in getting to run new athletes through their very first meet. On the other hand, I also really enjoy the programming aspect of coaching seasoned lifters, as they oftentimes need a bit more nuance to continue getting stronger. Regardless of experience, I love to help lifters make progress in their dedicated pursuit of strength.

  • Meg is in the descent of a squat attempt at a USAPL powerlifting meet

Megan Himes | Assistant Powerlifting Coach

GM, I’m Meg! I’ve been a powerlifting coach since 2020, with experience at both the local and national level. Before joining team Sincere in January 2024, I was an assistant manager and coach out of Kenmore Barbell. Through that experience I was able to program and host a three month foundational powerlifting program, gain experience coaching in person with clients from 14-60+, and handle multiple athletes at USAPL, USPA, and PA competitions.

I’ve been an active competitor myself since 2018 in the 75kg class with several National level meets under my belt as an athlete. I enjoy training alongside my athletes and the mutual comradery made possible by social media and the Sincere community. I primarily work with competitive powerlifting athletes or people looking to enter their first meet, but you absolutely do not have to be interested in competing to work with me. As long as you are a powerlifter and are interested in working hard, a reciprocal coach-athlete relationship, and getting stronger, I’m here to support you.
